providence

I spent the day in Providence, Rhode Island, although I don't remember getting there or back. In true me fashion, I fell asleep on the car ride up and back. Without fail, the three things I do when I go to Providence: 1. visit the Providence Mall (use to be the closest Nordstrom until it opened at Natick), 2. eat the Trio of Wild Mushroom pizza at Bob and Timmy's Grilled Pizza (absolutely amazing wood grilled pizza), 3. eat a fruit tart at Pastiche down the street (tonight I tried the Fresh Lime Mousse Tart and it was heavenly). The special occassion for the night was dinner at Two Fourty Two. Inexpensive and very good! Items consumed included warm brie with apricot, sweet potatoe fries, beef carappacio, duck and chilean sea bass.

Tonight, if I could make four additions to my wardrobe, these are the things I would purchase. On the other hand, I was able to make three new additions to my wardrobe a la H & M.

Leifsdottir Ruffle Dress, found on Nordstrom. Apparently it is Anthropologie's newest brand line.

Cute T from dELia's. March of the Penquins made me cry. I know, I'm too sensitive.

Purple low rise thin cords from Gap. Gap is back on my go-to-shop list.

The last item is a pair of patterned tights that I saw on display at Nordstrom, but am unable to locate online. The pattern is reminiscent of Orla Kiely's leaf pattern. Maybe this is a sign that I need to purchase them. Last season I saw a similar pair made by Wolford Hosiery, but also unable to locate, unfortunately.
