In other news, I had visitors for the weekend and we took a day trip to Annapolis, MD, which apparently is the capital of Maryland. After walking around the hot and muggy harbor, we drove down to Annandale, VA to get some Korean fried chicken at Bon Chon. It was good, but I'm not sure if I would make a trip again. Apparently, Privus in Boston serves the same kind of chicken.
And even more exciting news is that my poppy seeds sprouted over the weekend! I took a picture with my camera phone, which I finally fixed by removing the entire "lens" but I'm not sure how to get it on the computer (Yes, I am that technologically dis-inclined) This morning I was cleaning out the seeds from a honeydew melon, and it reminded me of how much I use to love seeds in my childhood. I remember keeping all the fruit seeds that were available, mainly just grape, apple and oranges. The other day, I had kept an avocado seed, but forgot to plant it and the seed dried out.
Tomorrow is the first day of orientation. I can't believe it! And my backpack is slated to arrive in the mail tomorrow. What good timing!
