Keane songs always remind me of the summer of 2005. I had just come back from visiting Mike in California, and I was meeting up with my sister, Fong and Viet to have sushi at Oishii before we headed over to the Pavilion to watch Keane in concert. I remember it was a really nice summer day (not humid and hot like most Boston summers) and Keane was great in concert. I was transitioning from my F/T job at the May Institute to MGH (what felt like a real job with a real salary). Isn't it amazing that a song can conjure up such vivid memories?
In the same vein, the theme song for The Office also gives me really nice memories. Of a simpler time. When things weren't so complicated and possibly I was happier, if only because there wasn't the pressure of school to weigh me down.
For some reason, last night as I tried and tried to fall asleep, I thought about how far away my birthday is: 74 days, or 2 months and 15 days. I'm considering going home and making sushi with my family. There are some traditions that should never stop! :)
