I feel completely deprived of creativity lately. I need some craft projects with some instant gratification (not knitting, and definitely not weaving). I'm thinking either some tissue paper hearts--I have warm fuzzy feelings for tissue paper squares, and white glue--or beading a necklace. Something like this:
I could make that-I think.

Or a leaf rubbing...or a tree stump rubbing.

In the spirit of not being grumpy for the most ridiculous "holiday"... The installation is titled "Please Don't Break My Heart"


From the artist "This work was made from around 100 sheets of super-white mounting board, super-glued together to create the 41 letters in the phrase "All the time I was making this I was thinking of you". Standing at two meters tall, but only twelve centimetres deep, this precarious structure was supported by thin strips of wooden dowelling, forming an unlikely-looking scaffolding.

And it was a little too unlikely looking. The structure was intended to be as precarious as possible but still stand, which allows for no human error. This is not the easiest thing to rule out at an exhibition opening, and towards the end of the night it was bumped into, and fell."

P.S. I am really interested to try out this Polaroid Project. Right now, the download is only available for Macs, which is fine because I just remembered I actually do own one now (!). Several months ago I took a Polaroid Transfer class which I would take again and again if it wasn't 100$ per class, and I absolutely love the way Polaroids give your pictures this nostalgic bend. If I do remember to download and play around with the app, I'll post the pictures.

I could have slept a little later this morning--actually I could probably sleep a little later every morning. But especially today, because yesterday was a long day, on account of it being my first wheel-throwing class. It's too soon to say that I will be good or bad at it, but its not looking so promising so far.
