Sometimes I think "I've already wasted so much time not doing [x, y, z]...what's the point of starting now?" This mentality usually centers around exercise, or more accurately, my lack of exercise. But today as I was coming home from the gym, I realize that in one year, I have 365 chances to do that one something. And that's A LOT of times I can do something. So I'm going to stop the paralyzing thought process that says "well you haven't done it up to now; why start now?" and JUST DO IT. Wish me luck!

The wire umbrella in the Holiday section of the Anthropologie website is great. The dress too...I especially like the detailing on the top.

bibliothèque

When I was younger, I use to love going to the library. I remember most of my summers were spent in the library. And I don't think I particularly like to read more than the next person, but there is something very nostalgic about the library. I especially like walking through all the book stacks, with the metal see through floors underneath my feet. Although the card catalog is electronic now, I also have a special place for the wooden card catalogs. I think they would make a great addition to any house, and it's perfect for storing all my crafting miscellaneous things. This work by schubLaden reminds me of the card catalogs. Isn't it perfect?

This would be perfect in my new apartment,...oh in 7 months. I use to love hopscotch when I was younger, and now that I think about it was probably due to the fact that counting is inherent to its existence.

In other news, I've switched exercise time for more eating time. Yesterday alone I visited two bakeries (the bostok at Canto 6 is so delicious and the fresh lime mousse pie from Pastiche is still as good as I remember it) and had a generous serving of pizza from Bob and Timmy's (which I also ate this morning for breakfast). Then this afternoon I had a lunch out of office, which rarely happens, followed by tofu pudding and chocolate koala bears for dessert! I haven't put in an exercise DVD since last Wednesday. Yikes!

Great outfit from Church and State! I love the combination of the dress with the rain boots and the backdrop of the barn. And the marigold shoes in a majority of the Fall 08 photo-shoot are amazing.

Reminds me of this cowl neck, front pleat dress at ModCloth. Get more Church and State inspiration here.

During tonight's wheel throwing class, I made a huge improvement over last week. HUGE. For one, the outer side of my left hand isn't raw from rubbing up against the wheel. Secondly, I can actually center my clay. The problem is figuring out how to make it into something, anything after that. I'm excited for next week to see if I can do something that I can actually keep.

In the mean time, I'm getting inspiration from these pieces:
